give me a break, what progress in USA ?

education
politics
lobbyists
campaign funding
congressional pensions

family fractures
shrinkage of middle class
growth of millionaires and poverty victims
executive theft of corporations
sweet stock option deals, golden parachutes for exiting CEO's
hero status for Grasso, presiding over Wall Street theft

obesity on the rise, including teens
fat foods everywhere
national icons of MacDonalds, KrispyKreme, Burger King

corruption in financial arena, largely unpunished
steal a car, go to jail
steal a million, nobody can prove it
steal a billion, become a senator or governor

you are an optimist, which is nice
not worth discussing further
you seem to live in another country as mine

I told my father last week that this country bears almost no resemblance to the one he returned to live in after WW2
the one he came back to, in order to raise a family with my mother
he had no response, no disagreement

I also said that Our Founding Fathers would be totally aghast at what we have done with their country
- unconstitutional money (not gold)
- congress bought and paid for
- federal bankruptcy with $42 trillion debt obligations
- an international military police force, at our cost
- an industrial base handed over to Asia
- incredible $500B trade gap killing our jobs
- our corporations abandoning workers in favor of China and India
- widespread theft by our nation's corporate leaders
- a central bank actually printing what it labels "money"

I would say you were clueless, except you are a nice guy

the Great Depression was a little setback too
