Well, you seem to be a very bright, well travelled person. Sorry you have such a negative attitude on George Bush. I have met the man personally, and regardless of how one feels about his programs, I believe him to be an honorable, honest man. I can tell you he is a joy to talk to and doesnt have a conceited bone in his body. If people abroad feel the USA has propped up Dictatorships (which we probably have along with the UN doing the same) he OUGHT to be their man cause Pres. Bush is very much a man of the PEOPLE regardless of what you read here. Plus, his wife Laura is a real sweetheart and she does have a lot of influence over him. Why the Middle East is angry with us is beyond me. It is the USA who has tried everything we can think of to create a Palistinian state. However, to be successful we MUST be an HONEST BROKER which means we have to understand Israel and agree with them when they are TERRORIZED by fanatics just as we have to understand Palistinians when they are infuriated by Israel taking their land lot by lot with these illegal "settlements". We have spoken out against both. jdn
