Clark to meet with black caucus in Arkansas
Presidential candidate Wesley Clark is to be the first candidate in a series of presidential forums conducted in Little Rock by the Arkansas Legislative Black Caucus.
The hour-long event at Philander Smith College is to start at 6 p.m.
The caucus chairman, state Senator Henry Wilkins of Pine Bluff, says the forum will give constituents a chance to get a feel for candidates running for the Democratic nomination.
Candidate Clark, a former Army general and NATO commander, has expressed support for affirmative action and raising the federal minimum wage, positions that members of the black caucus favor.
Wilkins said the black caucus has been invited to endorse Clark but would remain neutral in the Democratic race for now.
