Mani, That statement was not appropriate for a TV sports show.

Why not? He stated his opinion that McNabb was overrated, then came up with a theory based on his ever-present suspicion of the "liberal media."

You're being kind.....its called paranoia where I live!

It's sad to see the subject of race made so taboo that you can't say stuff like what Rush did without getting negative press.

Because it was an opinion that is shared by few in the sports world. To the contrary, McNabb is considered good. By making that statement, Rush suggests he is racist. In a diverse culture, of course, he will be attacked.

Meanwhile, black QBs like Doug Williams (who led my Washington Redskins to its 2nd Super Bowl victory in 1988) are allowed to write books like this one:

Allowed? Rush is allowed to say what he wants but if its not true or inappropriate, he's likely to be attacked. Same with Williams; however, there is more truth to Williams thesis than Rush's.

Nonetheless, the right will never accept they may be wrong but rather will turn it into a left wing conspiracy so they don't have to deal with the truth. That's what's sad.
