Ted, Its not that even few share the opinion; there doesn't seem to have been much discussion on the issue at all.

Of course there isn't. Race is such a taboo subject and can only be brought up under strict yet unwritten "rules of engagement."

Now that Rush said what he did, McNabb is automatically seen as the "victim," the "good guy," the football player who does well but never gets the respect he deserves. Rush is automatically labeled the "racist," the man who spews hatred and intolerance, someone who doesn't know what he's talking about. People have already made up their minds and chosen sides. Never mind that others have indeed called McNabb overrated before Rush:
