Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said Thursday ``it will be unfortunate' if it turns out that intelligence used to justify the war in Iraq turns out to have been seriously flawed.

Rumsfeld's comments came at a Pentagon news conference in which he was asked if he still believes such weapons will be found and whether the administration's credibility is suffering because of poor intelligence on the issue.

``It's not clear that it was off by a little bit or a mile at this stage,' he said. ``If it is off by a lot, that will be unfortunate and then we'll know that.'

Officials refused to confirm a published report that the administration will seek to triple the amount of money being spent on the search for the weapons -- adding another $600 million in spending to $300 million already used. Asked why the administration is seeking additional money and how it would be spent, Rumsfeld said that information is classified.

Uh....
Sorry Iraq
All those people we killed
All the destruction we caused
well all we can say is "it was UNFORTUNATE"
Don't worry we will use your oil to fix things up again (at exhorbitant prices to HAL of course)
Just one of those "unfortunate" things
