What would you think about the prospect - under the aforementioned plan - of a state, amidst the enjoyment of newfound levels of autonomy, deciding to sell/auction off what are currently national parks or historic sites?

I am afraid I have to agree with the idea of preserving some wilderness from exploitation so there is something for present and future generations to enjoy. And if corporations owned all the wilderness land (which is what would happen) where would everybody go camping? I do disagree with the eco-fascists who want to restrict access of private vehicles to the parks and make certain areas inaccessible altogether. Sierra and some other of these types go too far in nature worship. The parks are for people to enjoy. They go way too far about animal rights to habitat. But I do think the park system is a very good thing. BTW, I live on the edge of a major national park and enjoy it immensely. I decided when I was 22 to move here and be right where I could enjoy this area. It's beautiful. No concrete jungle for me. ;-)
