If he makes it he will still be the lone GOP office holder. Under what circumstances do you see McClintock "making it"? If all the frontrunners die in an earthquake? You're likely wasting your anti-Davis vote, unless you cast it for Arnold. Protest, or "throwaway" votes wind up just that -- meaningless and forgotten, except that they only can have a horribly negative and unwanted effect. It's what put Clinton in the WH in '92, remember?
