"advanced searches on SI?" The SI Admin(Bob) reply
did not mention using a Unix Pipe symbol that has already
added an extra undocumented feature to iHub's search,
so i tried it and found it not to generate any error,
but did not return any search hits when some did exist.

One "trick" i sometimes use for advanced searching,
is as follows.
-
I know a post had the string "its apples and oranges you..."
so i do two searches, one for apples, another for oranges,
then compare the output results for when both searches
display the same post as a hit.
-
I don't have a printer hooked up to my pc, but i think one can
sent monitor output to the printer. If one could send monitor
displayed output to a text file on your hard drive, then that
would make it easy to collect a zillion hits from both searches
onto a seperate file, and use a file compare program to display
only where lines were identical.
