That means if Rush's conspiracy theory is to be believed, the NFL is trying to make up for this with some "affirmative action."

That would mean the owners of the Eagles don't care if they make money........they're happy with a second rate QB but one who's black. Do you think that's true?

As for Rush's viewpoint, race isn't even the central issue in many of his rants.

Of course, they are not in his rants but its something he is very aware of or he wouldn't immediately make the McNabb situation a racial one. After all, the author of the link you provided didn't play the race card.

The "liberal media" is.

That's what so great about it.....he was so anxious to make the mainstream media the fall guy, he fell flat on his own face and probably mainstream media will never hire him again.

Often he goes over the edge with his conspiracy theories, and that sure didn't help him in his ESPN gig. Especially with all of his enemies circling like vultures, waiting for him to make one mistake before swooping in with their attacks.

Frankly, this country doesn't need extremists like him with his paranoid delusions. I will not be surprised if the drug thing is real. He acts like a druggie some times.

I'm not saying Rush didn't deserve all of the negative press he got, but I am saying the reaction is way overdone and the standard is double. But here's a thought: What if ESPN replaced Rush with Al Sharpton? ;-)

I find Al Sharpton equally offensive.
