Davis has had a lot of challenges, but overall he's responded well to over come problems. Energy was one place where he did well. By promoting conservation and bringing on extra generation capacity he avoided the predicted blackouts. Remember this was a result of deregulation that was not his doing. The power crunch was created in part by Enron brokering power, and raising the price of power. Just part of his message that is not getting out. Orca
