I don't know. But certainly, stock indices have "mania" written all over them. Do you really want to bet against the mania? I'll just stay away, buying puts sometimes, and longer dated ones. I think when this thing starts to unravel, it will do so very fast. So it may not be a bad idea to build an OOM LEAP put portfolio for 2006 or so. Bought al low VIX, VXN, and QQV, of course. When a sharp decline happens, the price of OOM puts will grow exponentially with volativity. At the rate it's going, the decline will happen faster than most think?
