"No normal person would be reminded of the Holocaust because of Mojo's scruples."

No normal person would NOT be reminded.

How dismissive you are of serious matters. Do you pretend not to know the possible basis of his "scruples"??

Nobody can know the basis of distasteful and ugly behaviour except the person engaging in the behaviour. So not knowing with any certainty the basis of Jewel's desire to exclude all homosexuals and women from his business (and with him not willing to answer any questions about the reason WHY he is taking that approach) should one simply avoid giving opinion? I notice that you feel very free about giving your own opinions while suggesting that others be restricted in their comments.

And nobody is suggesting that Jewels wishes to exterminate homosexuals. For you to throw that crap into a discussion speaks to an ugliness of character which I find very disturbing. The principle of discrimination is a matter which is of very legitimate concern to normal citizens who are responsible for creating a just and decent society for their children or by default simply letting it go to Hell.

Whenever, we find the ugly toe of discrimination opening a door, we naturally think of slavery, women being non-persons, the holocaust...and the very real mistreatment of groups of people in certain countries in this our world as we speak. Only a callous and irresponsible fool would take a laizzez-faire attitude to any attempt to cut people out from the herd and to treat them in a different and prejudicial manner.

"Extrapolating from a distaste for intimate contact with homosexuals"

And why is rubbing the shoulders of a homosexual different than the shoulders of a heterosexual? Why is it "distasteful? Perhaps it is also distasteful to eat in the same restaurant with them? Perhaps it is distasteful to ride on the bus with them. Perhaps it is distasteful to converse with a Jew?

I live in a society in which I have a responsibility and a personal interest to speak up for freedom and equality. And like I said: If I am turned from the grocery line because somebody finds it "distasteful" to take my money or if my doctor finds it "distasteful" to give me a work-up because I am a HETEROSEXUAL...then I would be very very pissed. And just because I am not a woman or a homosexual I AM capable of being very very pissed on their behalf when some ass-hole starts contriving ways to undo all the good work that decent people have toiled for in the twentieth century.

And if you don't like it? TOUGH COOKIES, FELLA.
