ralph - selling and trading always depends on your timeframe.
IMHO, just look at a chart of BHP, July was when the smart money got into base metals (not PMs).
Hence, HL is one of my holdings, coz they also have copper.
Will look at FCX series C (fcx_pc on yhoo)once the divvie is paid. Missed that entry too.

IMHO, get out of all currencies (all in competitive devaluation race) but the commodity currencies.
Have to learn when to buy high and sell higher: don't know if I am too late for Rands, but I missed some rally this Summer. <ng>

MHO: nickel, copper, zinc, silver, gold in that order. Have to insert oil, coal and NG in the series. Might even add sugar, coffe and soybeans.
Personally planning to invest in equities of non-North American companies active in non-Middle-East countries.
Well, that is the plan for my annual port re-shuffle this Fall.
