No other news organization has managed to confirm that statement.

John, my main reason for doubting it is this. Why would not one of the six at least come out and say, "I was called,"? This would be the biggest story of the week. Even if they don't want to identify the caller, they would certainly want to identify the fact that they were called. Just doesn't make sense to me.
