You're giving the American people too much credit. Remember these are the same fools who brought the whole WMD arguement last Spring. If there ever was an unprovoked, immoral war that didn't deserve the support of the American people, this one was it. But, the American people have been indocrinated since childhood to believe that war is a good thing, something we should be proud of. It's not like we have to conduct ourselves this way in the world. We don't have to be aggressive war mongers. We could actually defend our own cities first before going out and making war half way around the world, creating new enemies.
