while stalin was, what you call it an evil man, he was nothing when compared to Hitler Say what? Stalin killed more civilians, just as willfully, and for similar ideological reasons. What about the forced starvation of the Ukranians? The kulaks who died during collectivization? The setting up of the "great sewer" of the Gulag Archipelago to sweep millions of potential opponents into forced labor camps? The purges? The killing and resettlement of entire nations in Siberia? The destruction of the Red Army in the 30s? The scorched earth defense of Russia in the war that killed millions of civilians? The killing of both Russian and German POWs? All you can say is that Russians do not have it in them to apply the same industrial, scientific precision to killing millions of people as the Nazis did. But the Russians under Stalin killed more people than the Third Reich.
