I like c2's point that one of the other big stories here is that the CIA appears to have declared "war" on the White House

It's like first reports back from an accident or war zone, isn't it? First off, the best I can google is that Andrea Mitchell may have been called after the Novak article. What that proves, I don't know, except that there is a lot of confusion. Secondly, I look upon the CIA/WH war as speculation being manufactured. There is always a lot of tension between these two. Goes with the job.

Since we really aren't going to know much for several weeks, it then, the most interesting part of the story will be the way the media handles it. There will be an attempt to keep it on the front pages forever. Not just a "Liberal Bias," although that is there, but because it sells papers and excites the media staffs. This kind of possible scandal is what they have been hoping for.
