interesing times
do not see how anyone can predict the next 6 months to 2 years

consumer
I liked the comment that all they care about is the monthly payment
consumer debt is just huge and seems to be unending
no reason for them to change until either a stop in home price increases or fast interest rate increases

corporations
maybe in the best shape debt wise in decades

government
an insane projected budget deficit; no rational spending cutbacks
Bush still in my way or the highway mode
politics in California and for 2004 simply a joke
local government budgets in terrible shape

world events
either things are much worse or better than we see and hear
my guess worse
going on 400 killed in Iraq
still deaths in Afganistan (a 19 year old from my town KIA there this past week)and the war lords control most of the country
OBL still running around
no WMD's found
huge pork in the proposed Iraq spending bill
Middle East still a mess and nothing to indicate any change

it really is hard to find bright spots anywhere these days but the equity market is projecting nothing but sunshine ahead

only time will tell if we are in the latest bubble or if the market is right

I sure do not have a clue
