While the bear was muzzled can you imagine allowing a wrestling bear at a mall today? I can't imagine how many lawyers would come running at the slightest hint of any kind of injury. Not to mention the PETA freaks. um...no :) once we took the kids to one of those small circuses that came into town (we were visiting their great grandparents, small midwestern town) and i have a picture of my daughter riding on an elephant...years later i read a story about a child being trampled to death by an elephant at a circus... at the time it just seemed like a cool thing to do...<g> funny though....she was in sri lanka a few years ago on business and one of the things she did was go on a picnic at an elephant reserve...and yep, she's got a picture of her riding an elephant again i'm trying to visualize the bear wrestling... interesting. :)
