re: We were quick to jump on the Russians for Chechnia. I don't know enough of the arguments pro/con in that region, but it seems that they use terror as a technique. Pakistan's condition for allowing US troops to pass was that Bush would recognize chechnians as freedom fighters rather than terrorists. We pissed of Russians big time by accepting Pakistan's conditions
