Now if you "clip-board" this post for the future you will be able to state my position just as well as I can!
I have, indeed "clip-boarded" it for future reference. I'm not sure, though, that I am any better able to represent your position than I did before.
However, when such mistreatment occurs openly--and effectively glorifies bigotry and unequal treatment (rather consciously or unconsciously)--then the harm takes on a more sinister pervasiveness
I do not understand how you're relating my constrained scenario to mistreatment occurring openly. If Mojo quietly accepts or reject potential clients through word of mouth, then the mistreatment is not apparent to society at large, not "open," so nothing is being glorified, seems to me.
To the extent that some of Mojo's clients who are giving him referrals are aware of his "rationale," then that is slightly open, but that slight openness would be covered by my general harm category, the general bad-karma in society that comes from having such attitudes among us category.
So I don't see where you have expressed any harm additional to or different from the two kinds I sepecified on behalf of X, you, and me.
Synthesizing for others is a hard and sometimes ungrateful task!
Yes, I know that. <g> In facilitation 101 they teach you to always record the words as spoken by the commentor rather than paraphrasing them. And to always make available for comment any syntheses you produce prior to finalizing them. So, we are both doing our jobs. I will incorporate your comments into my synthesis when I can better understand how my draft needs to be changed.
Or if what you're saying is that you don't want me taking on the role of synthesizer, I will accede to that. Jewel is already fussing at me for wearing multiple hats so I guess you can, too. <g> |
