I ran across recent posts of this group discussing prophecy. No one know the hour or the day....We all agree there, but discussing theology rather than the Word, is where I will not agree. Those two men that wrote, and still write books about the End Times, were not inventors of "the Rapture." They write stories that are fiction but cause one to search for answers, in the Bible. It is something I will continue to study, in the Bible.
Tim LaHaye is a well-respected prophecy expert, but the Left Behind Series is a series with fictional characters, and fun to read.
Is something I am sure Tim LaHaye believes, and only pushes that you go to the Bible directly for answers.
But, I cannot tell you that Pre-trib is incorrect, at all.
There was a great deal of truth in the Left Behind Series and that is, are you ready, and will you stand up as a Believer in Jesus?
I believe the answer is to focus on "the only Answer," salvation through Jesus. I can say that is the ONLY answer.
What lives can we effect today, of people who are not aware of His Love, and gift of life?
I was listening to a webcast today, from the man who has pastored my Church for 25 years. He was telling the story of his testimony, while still a student at Princeton. This man is so bright, and he was the only one in his family that became a Christian. Another group of students at Princeton brought him to Christ.
He later went onto Campus Crusade for Christ and then into the ministry, something he never intended. To see how God has used him, in the life of Young People and in one Church, in incredible. But this very intellectual Princeton grad, believes that God will rapture His Church. It is not something he's brought up often, but after 911 and then the war in Iraq, his brought up the subject.
These times are a reason to discover if your foundation is based on Jesus. |
