Lizzie, we DO understand what you are trying to say. You have your knickers in a twist because real hard-core software R&D is going "offshore", thus making it possible for "them" to compete with "us". What both mindmeld and I are saying is that this a perfectly normal and natural situation that has occurred in just about every other maturing and worthwhile industry of human endeavour. It now happens to be happening in ours. Get over it. It's less tiring to swim with the current than against it.
