"Loss of its technology leadership position, defection of software developers to Windows, hemorrahage of executive and technical talent
and finally More Mac or Move to Windows?"

WOAH, BOY! Woah there. Hey, since when is turnover in your technical department a bad thing? This guy had been around Apple for years and years and years...he was a dinosaur by Silicon Valley standards. Sure, he may take some leadership with him, but leadership is not what Apple's lacking right now, what with Jobs back and Ellison et. al. on the board. I know plenty of very talented people right here in my little hamlet of Iowa City, IA, who would give up a limb to go to work for Apple. The company is going to need some new blood to provide fuel for Apple's return ('though Mac users know they've never really been gone) to glory.

And anyone who calls losing Dr. Amelio a "hemorrahage of executive...talent" is obviously making some sort of sick joke. Unless they're referring all the way back to Scully....

In short, I don't see how these people site the loss of one ancient technology guru as a fatal flaw when they have no idea of what steps are going to be taken to replace him. Is no one looking more than 30 days into the future of this company?

GO APPLE, GO!
