There are other places to have babies. I agree with that. If it wasn't an emergency, they should have either provided service on their terms or sent the couple elsewhere. If it was a genuine emergency, then I think their action was one a reasonable alternative for as long as the emergency was ongoing. I find this event interesting. I'm going to follow up to see if any more info on it becomes available.
