Suppose a devout Muslim woman wanted only female doctors and nurses to attend her pregnancy. Would your hospital comply?

I have no doubt that they would. I believe that was the purpose of all the signage, to communicate that.

I just checked their web site and found nothing about it.

I imagine they think they're being sensitive to special needs. It's an interesting question why one scenario might be perceived that way and another as bigotry. Perhaps because one is religious. Or perhaps because there's some tradition of modesty in women, a positive tradition, whereas racism is an historical negative.
