BEGBX. Crusty, you are right on target, in my opinion regarding BEGBX as a ballast position. I have been in it my retirement plan since April, 2002, where I have jiggered it up and down anywhere from 10% to 20% of my holdings. I would prefer a shorter duration (currently 5-6 years) but not that volatile and a more remunerative place to park funds than money market. I wish I could find a fund that invested primarily in NZ, AUST and CANADA as another fund that is non-euro based. I think that the large gains in BEGBX are behind it as the euro has advanced from under to fair value.
