As I have been saying, "deficit state budgets = Democrat's running things." Here is the proof.

Hardly proof. Just another right wing, WSJ columnist attack on programs that help people, like education.

As for the methodology of dividing the states on the basis of their support for Bush or Gore, please. Take a look at New Jersey, for instance. The present budget problems are not McGreevey's fault but were bequeathed to him by Whitman. The list is long and I need not bore you with it here. But the clearest indication that Hassett (where, by the way, Kevin, is that Dow 36,000?) is wrong is that Whitman had two periods in office before McGreevey took over.
