Here was the question you accused me of not answering… now you’ve changed it to something more appropriate.
"The question is--is Mojo not disparaging women and homosexuals as a class when he assumes that members of these two particular classes have inappropriate sexual impulses or can't control their sexual impulses? Perhaps you answered that question, but I don't think so."
You accuse mojo of holding the view that these two particular types of people are not able to control their sexual impulses…and presumably that other types are able to control their impulses. I can not answer it, since it is a false presumption and more of a baited attack than a legitimate question.
This was not the basis for the mojo scenario. It was presumed and voiced by solo, and I have been attacked for it in many ways and mean now by, solon, but the presumption is entirely his extrapolation. I have provided explanations that account for mojo’s viewpoint and that dismiss this false allegation. Solon has gone all the way to Mecca to make sure his shouts are heard over the reasoned discourse.
I have declared, on several occasions that mojo considers every type equal in their abilities, that he harbors no ill will toward any types, and that he actively works to ensure all people receive appropriate services via referral. You, at least, I am certain have reviewed these posts of mine and apparently have been able to discount them. Though you don’t offer an explanation for that.
…why excluding a group of people doesn't disparage them. My question is answerable. Twisting things with a false comparison, knowingly or not, doesn't get you off the hook.”
This is a very different question and one that I think, I have addressed from the time I provided mojo’s belief statement until now. I specifically wrote a treatise on the question of harm in regards to mojo and addressed it to you. The number one issue of that post was to answer the question of how people would be effected by being turned away from a service provider such as mojo. Groups of people are not excluded they are served in the most appropriate setting. There is no discrimination except in the eyes of people that see things only with political binoculars (viewed through the reverse). The real world is a much bigger and richer place.
I honestly believe that I could go to 100 women and ask them to tell me a fictional story that includes a massage therapist providing services across gender. This would be without any hint of our debate or my side in it. I will bet that the majority of those stories would have a sexualized component relevant to our discussion. That tells me that common sense over rides your position….The one where you claim such things are just very rare and that mature adults don’t even think about such things. It tells me that your position is either based on a very closely held need to protect the status quo or that you are a very sheltered person out of touch with what goes on in people’s every day lives. You are trying very hard to find “nothing” when there is plenty to see beyond the edge of your nose. |
