There isn't any consumer debt burden to speak of presently. It costs practically nothing to carry debt right now and the Debtees will extend payment terms for practically however long you want just to push product out the door. Thus there is no consumer debt burden. The Fed and Greenspan have seen to that.

If you want to see the (forgotten by the consumer) burden become very real, then skip forward to the next chapter where the Fed and Greenspan reverse course and absolutely bury the above debtors.

But hey? Who cares. Party on.
