I submit that the marketplace will take care of any discrepancy between male and female doctors or massage therapists or whatever and it's not something we need to worry about.

Personally, I had all male doctors until maybe twenty years ago. Then I got on a female doctor kick partly because I wanted to support the sisterhood and there were finally enough women doctors out there to enable me to do that. And partly because I thought that, all things being equal, a female doctor probably would be better because she would have had to work harder to get there. Now medical schools are producing about half and half so it's not really relevant. As for my interaction with my doctors, I haven't seen any gender difference and I'm indifferent to gender.
