Sorry to hear that. Where is your school district spending its money? "As indicated in Figure K12-1, approximately $53.0 billion will be devoted to California's 983 school districts and 58 county offices of education, resulting in estimate total per-pupil expenditures from all sources of $9,072 in fiscal year 2003-2003 and 8,899 in fiscal year 2003-2004." Naturally, the amount that comes from the State General Fund is less than $8899. dof.ca.gov
