that health insurance issue is tricky because the problem is, companies are not paying for health insurance and the state is having to pony up for the bill. This is going to hit all states eventually, it is not a CA tax and spend issue.

Look we all know that just because some company doesn't pay health insurance for its workers, that does not mean those same workers won't show up at the emergency room when they get in an accident. I don't think the taxpayer should foot this bill. I'm actually with the state on this but think it needs to be handled at a national level.
