unfortunatelly... you are correct. and I hate it. (not because you are right, but because what you are saying are simple facts... that is why I hate it). not everyone has to drive at 120... as I mentioned your own capabilities are the standard of measure... yes, I know I am attempting UTOPIA... I have heard that in Italy, where the "official" speed limit in the autostrada I believe is 130 kph ( little over 80 mph), yet the carabinieri only enforce it upon the those who drive like morons... AND if you are driving a Ferrari at that speed, they will give you a ticket for driving too SLOW -lol. is there any real reason we should drive 120 mph just because we can? well... it will take you in many instances nearly half the time to get from point A to point B for one.... for another, I would not be under threat of being nabbed by an overzealous cop with a tight city budget just because I am trying to avoid falling asleep by driving at the blistering speed of 75 mph.... Remember that I am suggesting these speeds are allowed in places where it is wide open... near cities, we can reduce it to 85 - 90 mph (depending on how near are the intersections) and in cities I will abide by the existing limits Imagine driving in the middle of Arizona where not even lizards are nearby (under a blazing heat),.... and you are driving a numbing 75 mph... oh my..it hurts to even think it.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and fall asleep to boot.
