That would be a step in the right direction. The money wasted every four years on Presidential campaigns is disgraceful. Obviously, the strategy hasn't paid off. And it has opened itself to corruption, at least if you believe what RW Bradford has written in Liberty magazine about the cozy relationship between the Browne campaign and the LP hierarchy.

I think the highest vote total for a Libertarian Presidential candidate was in 1980, was it not? And that was only because Ed Koch was so generous with his fortune. It's been a steady decline since. I don't think much will change until the current leadership of the LP is ousted.
