The only "poll" that counts dept:

Today the people of the crown of the Clinton/Gore Nazis' Blue Zone, California, will march grimly to the voting booths and FIRE one of America's most diseased left wing Democrats. They will also reject, out-of-hand, the left wing machine's proxy: his moronic lieutenant governor.

It matters little that they may elect Hollywood fluffmeister Arnold Schwartznegger. Like the slightly-retarded "populists" who have gone before him-Idiot Ross Perot, Jesse The Moron Ventura, and Mad Cow McCain-Schwartznegger will come and go from the scene leaving virtually no footprint at all (and probably-like those other idiots before him-blaming "politics" for their political failures).

What does matter is that the Republican party in California, which hit the bottom of the bottom only last November when they couldn't field a candidate with enough political competence to defeat Davis, has been handed a massive and golden opportunity to finally de-Huffingtonize itself and start to actually represent pro-American Californians again, as they did decades ago with Ronald Reagan leading them. One assumes and hopes that the state party can't be too deaf to see the writing on the wall: That post-91101 Californians WANT to be liberated from America's fanatical domestic enemy.

California is reflecting, today, the realities that will prevail in the national races of 2004-which is one reason I continue to predict a massive Bush landslide and Democrat disaster in the Congressional (and state) races. The "establishment" media meltdown is in full swing in CA as the LA Times-in it's liberal desperation-has MADE ITSELF AN ISSUE, and thus destroyed Davis' last tiny thread of hope. You can already see the networks and CNN stumbling into the same trap as they immolate the last of their credibility in an anti-Bush propaganda orgy a year from now.

So, too, the Davis/Bustamonte incompetence in this race highlights all the weaknesses that EVERY Democrat will take into the 2004 fight (every Dem running from Florida to Washington State will be portrayed as "[insert state's name here]'s Gray Davis".) They promise only to raise taxes and continue to pump up the incredibly wasteful and unionized bureaucratic machine that is strangling California. Add to that, on the national level, a traitorous Democrat national organization that has given itself the image of preferring the administration of Saddam Hussein and the Islamic murderers over the administration of George Bush, and you have the makings of not just a political defeat for the anti-American left, but a sea change election that will sweep them into history's trash bin for good.

Thus California, today, is showing us the big picture of the state of American politics, a picture growing far too large for a ZOGBY or his left wing media customers to continue to obfuscate...
