With a background like hers, (only part), I try to ignore the scratchy voice. You are right, it was 1988 Michael Dukakis. It ALWAYS pays to know something about someone who might opose some of a persons views, and on the other hand, sometimes, by actually listening to those views, one might learn something as well.
