Thanks very much Robert--Well, it sure is a good one and, right, no need to be a rocketeer. Paper says NLR conducted the election and reports 54-27 against. Some of the employees say "we're like a family here" as a reason they don't want the union. David Glass says: "Our associates have left no doubt they believe workplace issues are best resolved without workplace interference by a third party." Of WMT's 780,000 employees world-wide, only one store in Windsor, Ontario has a union. Industry analysts say a companywide effort would be a difficult undertaking for the 3,000 store chain and that it would raise concerns about wage pressures.
