They are making quite a big deal of one leak, when thousands occur yearly. The Senate and Assembly house the greatest of leaks, generally those from the most sensitive committees leak the most.

One of the most humorous of arguments is that "even the CIA referred it to the Justice Department for investigation"..

If anyone knows anything at all about investigations and referrals, they are generally a routine matter.

In this particular case it was necessary because the CIA charter expressly forbids them from performing criminal investigations for acts occurring within the United States.

That makes it a no brainer. Someone complains, they have to refer it to DOJ...no ifs ands or buts...
