So now does Shell think SA will do license deal?
Here's the way I read the deal.

Shell said there was no way to settle the SA issue without TW. To me that means that GMST's patents are not strong enough to win court. Contrary to what we were led to believe by HY & co. That puts the theory of GMST throwing patents suits at SA until one sticks to bed.

So now if TW wants a certain feature in their STBs then SA will be forced to use GMST's IP via TW's patent license to implement it. Thus a backdoor settlement that could lead to a front door one.

What other major hold outs are there still besides Echo Star and Cable Vision??

Overall, I like the decision to get out of ebooks. It was a money bleeder. I still say they should cut all money bleeders, better to put the cash into paying dn the debt.
