Phil > Gold up......reluctantly

Why? A greater demand for jewelry?!

To me a more likely scenario is that the long contracts on gold expire and, with that, POG falls. At the moment I sense a running out of steam.

Definitely if the USD stabilizes the game will move elsewhere and people will lose interest in gold. The price will fall and the game will start again in a year or two with some new stories and scare tactics.

But the bottom line is whether the boyz feel they have squeezed enough out of the goldbugs this time round --- and it's my feeling they have. After all, they don't want to kill the bugs, merely squeeze the juice out of them. And, of course, the longer they can keep $400 as the elusive target to untold riches, the more bugs they catch.
