Wade, my responses were addressing fuel cells for electrical power. I am sceptical of fuel cells for cars primarily because of the energy density of fuels - the weight, or, in the case of hydrogen, the volume of fuel that would have to carted around. Others here will disagree.

By the way, for the board generally, I saw somewhere recently that there is a plan to market a fuel cell for the laptop market. It weighed 900 g - 2lbs. I was disappointed, although it's early days.
