UGH...such bad memories...after 20 years in physical commodities I decided to move to the "paper" side....what a travesty. Scores of completely untrained drones making their 200 dials a day selling the very securities the strategists were saying avoid. Sell the sizzle. I left soon after the explanation of "why are *we* shorting the same stocks the box on my desk is touting. Anything to do with multibillion debt exposure?..uhh...well, we're a big firm and wear a lot of hats".....Goodbye sell side WS.

Took my clients to gold in 2001 when I was being "cajoled" to the sell the latest inhouse fund du jour, and then just plain took them away when I left.

Can't understand why there hasn't been a class action suit for false advertising since the cards read "financial advisor" implying some level of expertise sorely lacking.
