If the World falls apart, or CA is hit by supreme natural disaster, or a terror attack that is man-created, is the reason he didn't take a tax hike off the table. I honestly believe the majority of the people understand this, and respect him for it. Just like they would respect any potential candidate who had the people's interest at heart, rather than trying to protect their fiefdom.
