More insults? That is my point. I do not consider the description you provided of the solinistic role to be insulting. X did and I understand why. Solon did and I understand why. But I don't.

You described accurately and concisely a form of conduct. It does expose something that most of us would consider quite personal and negative. It is simply calling something what it is, and I might add that you were careful to not overly characterise it's negativity. You didn't use words like evil or make reference to his psychi as being disturbed and such (I have done that but you didn't in this case).

Why is it any different that insulting someone by pointing a finger at them and saying that girl is fat. It is different because 'the conduct' is an egaging intercourse in which you are either forced to confront it directly, or to be complicit by saying nothing though it involves you directly, going along and trying to 'deal' with it tactfully, engaging directly on the same level, etc.

So you are labeled as being offensive and making personal attacks. To me these allegations might be warrented only when you are levying personal allegations that are false or making personal comments that are demeaning and irrelevant to the discussion. There is not much argument if X labels your behavior 'offensive,' but that doesn't validate her accusation for the general view point.

Likewise when Rambi put her two cents in, I reacted strongly because I felt she was being exploited, (possibly as a willing pon) but it looked to me like she did not have adequate intelligence on the issue. I told her that it looked like she was simply delivering warm cocoa to a friend on request. I was willing to over look that but she made a special effort to let me know that she was implicating me. However, she didn't have enough information on the issue to pass gas in my direction as she served her friend; and I made that clear to her. She stomped off in a huff, nose in the air, ringlets bobbing at her sholders.
