I'm a little hesitant to make sweeping judgements about another culture, but I've always thought that the Japanese propensity for consensus might be as much of a weakness, as a strength. I believe we've witnessed, on the economic front, that the need for consensus can lead to paralysis. Your earlier heads up wrt PBS Thursday evening...... Frontline truth, war and consequences is to the point. With the Admin embarking on a PR offensive, it's always a good idea to see, what they don't want you to see. The way the Admin has already responded to this documentary, implies to me, it's not on the "approved" list. JMO lurqer
