Details, details. The voting should be those born there and living there. 70% majority and it's a deal. If they have left the village, then they shouldn't have a vote on who runs the village.

If only 52% majority, then maybe it could be a duel at dawn? Or partition? Or something. Discussing possibilities at High Tea would be an excellent idea to resolve the matter. A duel and High Tea. What splendid fun. With gloves, regalia and red ribbons.

There is an objective reality and although each person has faulty perceptions about what's real, misunderstandings about how things work and misconstrued memories of how things were, we are stuck with the hodge podge of wonky ideas. Nature however doesn't lose sight of objective reality and perceptions are constantly tested against that reality. Those who have it wrong are wrung out of the quantum computer of life and twisted out of the DNA record.

Mqurice,
With all the answers.
