cable problems solved

This may be useful info for some with cable broadband:

I had connection problems off and on for days and thought it was Comcast going down intermittently. Today a tech came to the house and measured the cable signal where it goes into the modem. The signal was very low. Solution: he cut the old coax connectors on the outside of the house and installed new ones. The old ones had corroded center wires. He also gave me a new modem - just in case. Now even cable TV is sharper and I couldn't be happier.

This is a simple solution I didn't think of.
