Re: "I see......you make the tests and then determine the results."
Not at all. I spoke a thought. It was you who declared it made less sense than your thought. I showed you something of the sense in my thought and the lack of sense in yours in return. Your defense consists of the above incorrect off-topic ad hominem put-down.
I read your thought and found it lacking. Dems. may suggest that CC are cutting into their turf but that does not mean a CC is a Dem. whether libertarians like to think so or not. And it is also of no concern to me whether libertarians don't see any difference between the two parties or not. The differences exist; albeit somewhat less with the recent GOP shift towards the center.
You should see it clearly now.
I'm sorry you don't believe in my rationale for spending the $87 billion, but MY rational has nothing to do with whether some political party says its ok, as you falsely describe.
Excuse me.......you represented yourself as a libertarian; in fact, our whole exchange has centered somewhat around the libertarian point of view. Therefore, I thought your rationale for spending the $87 billion was the rationale of a libertarian. Forgive me for the blunder....NOT!
Re: "You need to revisit Hitler's philisophies"
Not. It doesn't take a conservative or libertarian to know what liberals know too well, namely that those right-wing hawks pacifists have bitched about for so long, DESPISE Hitler and the very un-American "governing" style he employed.
The nature of Hitler's governance had little to do with his philosophies or political theories......he was a reactionary who was trying to recall an earlier era. In any case, whether the conservative hawks despise Hitler or not, similarities do exist if one is willing to look. And as for the hawks' dislike, its not unusual for humans to despise those traits in others that are very similar to their own.
The sort of analysis you've been buying into is overshadowed completely by the stark reality of what such men fight for. You need to realize this, IMHO, and quit thinking republicans fit into the mold of some virtually non-existent radical racist minority which holds Hitler as an esteemed member!
There you go again......trying to get me to do what you want. Are you sure you're a liberatarian?
Secondly where did I say the similarities had to do with racism? There is no question the Rep. party has racist elements within it. Racism may be an ancillary trait of American conservatives that may or may not correlate with Hitler's overt ethnic hatreds but it hardly gets to the core of the issue.
Re: "you seem to be working real hard to control this post exchange. Your presumptive styled coupled with your predetermined conclusions kind of give things away."
Not at all. As with your Hitler/Republican rant, it was you who were presumptuous in attributing thoughts to me which I don't hold.
I thought you said you were a libertarian. I was suggesting that there may be similarities between Republican/conservatives and Hitler, not liberatarians. Do you secretly consider yourself a Rep and/or a conservative? Are you a closet conservative?
You can tell me........I won't tell anyone.
Re: "Now who's off the deep end?"
Well, if my comment you are replying to is as true as I believe it is, you still are. You. Or am I presumptuous to say you seek solutions through Government?
Huh? Oh yes, we're back to the gov't issue. Without gov't, there would be anarchy.
I know, I know......with the American shift to the right, its very chic to think that gov't is worthless and inappropriate, and only drains our finances and proposes new taxes. But its just another American trend that, at some future point down the road, will be shown for its utter silliness.
Eventually, Arnold and libertarians and GW will be consigned to some back office shelf where a few years even further down the road as the American population climbs over 300 million, another attempt will be made to remake the federal gov't into a simple military/defense operation with a president who has a day job and a VP that fills in as needed.
The concept of a complex, modern nation without gov't is a facile and somewhat hilarious thought but those with conservative values have to have something about which to daydream. |
